The Fine Art of Chaos
Mallory Brooks is a fine art photographer who reimagines traditional photography through bold experimentation.
Working exclusively with film, every effect is achieved in-camera or during development—no AI, no Photoshop, no post-production manipulation.
Curated for spaces that demand originality—luxury interiors, architectural projects, and collections where innovation matters—Brooks turns perfectionism into risk, elevating art beyond convention.
Experimental Analog Photography
Brooks employs experimental techniques such as film soup, multiple exposure, lens distortion, custom filters, and color overlays to create vibrant, transformative pieces that cannot be replicated.
This isn’t nostalgia for analog processes. Years of experimentation allow her to fuse technical precision with unpredictability, using film’s physical and chemical nature as a creative medium—turning what photographers are taught to avoid into the very source of innovation.
Every Photo is an Experiment
Many of Brooks’ standout pieces are created through a process called film soup, where negatives are immersed in boiling water, salt, wine, matcha, and flowers, pushing film to its limits. Many frames don’t survive; those that do burst with color, dream-like textures, and depth impossible through conventional means.
For Designers Creating Distinctive Interiors
Interior designers working on luxury residential, hospitality, and commercial projects turn to Brooks' work when their vision demands art that makes a statement—pieces their clients can't find anywhere else.
Her experimental photography brings conversation-starting visual energy to sophisticated spaces. Bold color and innovative technique that commands attention while maintaining the refinement high-end projects require.
